Bicycle fart

Yeah I'll give one-uh those calendarios to anyone who wants one. I don't know how that works but I'll get as many as I can.

Right now I'm at Ben's apartment. Carey left to Spain (not South America Ilenia) and Josh is staying in his room now. We're making dinner and listening to music. Earlier we were the only customers at Harbor lights dddrinking some beers.

Today is my first day off for 7 days. And I don't just mean working at the Merc everyday. For example, Friday and Saturday, I had the garage sale in the morning (sorry to Steve and Eric by the way!) then went straight to work. Then I worked bright and early Sunday, went straight to the Lominska's Farm afterwards to work there. Stayed the night at the cabin and worked Monday morning farming again then went straight back to work. Then came Tuesday... ahhhhhhhh.

But it starts again tomorrow and I'll open 3 days in a row. Eek! I'm getting burnt out on the Merc, how much longer will I stay there?

I've been biking into town from the Moat House, which is at least 1/2 hour, a nice workout to et me all sweaty and red. Sounds sexy, right? This summer is getting a little better every day.

Yesterday evening my family (dad, stepmom, littlest stepsister) got in a pretty brutal car wreck. BUT everyone is ok. SUV is totaled. The 60-something year old man ran a stop sign, both cars were about 45-50 MPH and my fam t-boned him. It really scared me to hear them talking about the wreck in detail and what they did. They were so close to something a lot worse than what really happened.

Put on your sailing shoes. I'm on my period.

I love you all!

Party Thyme (two worlds combined- old and new- if you catch my drift)

Lets see if I can blog about something that's not boring.

I threw a party. There, that's a topic we all know well. Since everything was mostly moved out of the apartment, I thought, what better to do with an empty place on the last night you have it than to throw a dance party? So I titled it the "There's-nowhere-to-sit-so-you-might-as-well-dance" Party. I'm not very good at adverstising for parties (considering I made a flier but didn't make copies or give it to anyone) so it didn't get very big, and at points that it was bigger, Bitchy Neigh-bore harrased us for noise that came from a party across the alleyway, so I think his numerous visits helped keep the party small. I liked it the size it was though... a good group of fun people who I care about quite a bit. It's always weird though, lacking those who are usually a main part in the equation.

Anyway, it was BYOB and BYOTP since we haven't had a toile pape supply for months. So earlier, while clearing out some of the last-minute dumpster-bound furniature, Jamie and I decided to only take it half-way and set up an outside apartment in front of Jennifer's place downstairs. (Imagine it, Ilenia: your mattress, Jenna's stuffed tiger rug, the blue kitchen table with Edmond's vase of flowers on it, the uncomfortable striped loveseat on the sidelines with the orange springs-up-your-ass chair next to it, your old red dresser, and a bunch of blankets and rugs that Jennifer brought out). Damn, I wish I wish I had a camera so I could post a picture, but believe me guys it looked great. I'm sure someone somewhere has a picture.

Oh yeah, how can I forget, Blake bought and brought a large kiddie swimming pool that we filled up using Bitchy Neighbore's hose. He gave us permission a few hours prior to the harrasment part. Eilene brought him some of the spaghetti they'd made for dinner as a "thank you". Too bad the night got a bit chilly, or at least not hot, so only I got sat in the pool by myself while 5 or six others sat on the edge of it earlier in the night and then later Jamie and Blake were in it for a while. But afterwards Jamie bombarded into my room quivering and demanded a change of clothes before the frost-bite set in.

It's funny that it was planned as a dance party, but we mostly spent the night out back in the "outpartment". At one point, me and Jennifer K and Jeanine and Jamie and Bob Bruce were all hopping around dancing... literally bouncing from empty room to empty room. High amount of fun (no pun intended, especially since there was no weed involved for a change). Then later a good group got dancing but not for long. Yesterday at work a co-worker that I'd invited said she showed up at 10 or 10:30 and there was loud music in the vacant living room, but not a single person. She later realized we were out back but left anyway. That must have been funny for her, maybe she thought it was a practical joke at first.

Jamie and Jeanine helped me clean the apartment, and since they're professionals I think it's the best I've ever seen the place and I wanted to move in all over again. I didn’t think it was possible for both showers to be white and grime-less. Jamie scrubbed the kitchen floor on her hands and knees, damn, I wish I had a camera. Jenna and Ilenia would actually believe me then. It was not fun being the only person out of 4 who’d lived there to do the deep-cleaning for the entire place. I owe Jamie and Jeanine BIG TIME- don’t know how much more of the deposit we’re getting back because of them but I bet it’s a nice chunk. Gadbilly actually did something professional and gave me a checklist of what we'd get charged for certain things being out of order and/or dirty.

Yesterday (*yesterday’s energy was run on 4 hours of sleep and an empty-tum hangover*) after cleaning all morning (or during the middle of it) I went with Jennifer Kongs (to distinguish between Jennifers, I’m calling them Kongsifer and Jennifarns from now on. Or maybe Farnsifer- which sounds better?), and Jeanine and 5 other ladies over 30 years old to a strawberry patch out near Vinland/Baldwin. You pick the strawbs yourself and pay $2.50/pint… pretty good price considering at the Merc I saw half that much (strawbs) for twice that much ($). Then again, it IS the Merc… sexspensive stuff. Either way, it was a deal and it was fun. I was soooo hungry so I was eating tons of berries while I picked. We bought 12 pints for $30 and we’re going to freeze most of them to have around for the winter time. Later we’ll add blackberries and raspberries when their time is ripe.

Then I worked for a whopping 2 hours which I really wasn’t needed for anyway since we were so slow. Jamie picked me up and we went to Jana’s house to watch a movie that Zach and Tron and some other dudes had made about aliens and a virus outbreak on the human race. It was pretty hilarious and Blake’s music was all over it. Then I drove home (12-20) to pick up the last load to take home (Moat). I unpacked and set up some more stuff in my new room with Kongsifer and read Ileania’s letter. Of course I was laughing a lot, and Kongsifer would ask what was so funny but not fully understand when I told her.

Went to work this morning at 7am only to find out that I wasn’t supposed to be there until 4pm because I had switched the wrong week. Oops. So another day run off of little sleep, but this time a little more at almost 6 hours. Isn’t this supposed to be summertime? Doesn’t that mean sleep? Well anyway, this afternoon I’m going with Kongsifer to work on the farm and spend the night in this little cabin that her boss more or less gave her to stay in. We’re going to wake up and go fishing and do more farm work before I have to touch a bunch of people’s groceries and smile at them at the Merc.

Love you all, we should all blog more (Ahem ahem Jenna, Neesa, ahem). Oh yeah Ilenia you too, you should be blogging twice a day at least. It’ll make up for the rest of us. Oh yeah and are you ready for the proposal, girlenia?

WARNING: The following paragraph will be boring for everyone except Ilenia. (sorry everyone else, bye-bye for now)
So, I found out that utilities check for $22.80 bounced and I also got charged $5 for it. That plus the other $5 from mailing you your emergency legal packet comes to a little over $30. (Hey I sound like I’m at work! And your total today is…). I was reading someone’s blog about this cool thrift store that she went to in Miami with her friend Cristine. Instead of sending me a check or cash, cause those are lame, I think you should go to that (or any other) thrift store and pick out a good pair of summer sandals for me and maybe a t-shirt that reminds you of me too. Then you can ship it to me through the Male system. What do you think? Just make sure it doesn’t cost more than what you owe me. I like your taste and you know mine. I miss you!
